Women's Soccer Shuts Out BU 3-0

The Eagles remain undefeated this season.

The Boston College Eagles defeated Boston University on Sunday night at Nickerson Field, bringing their record to 3-0-1. The Eagles dominated the Terriers for much of the game, holding BU to only 1 shot on goal.

BC started the scoring at 13:41, when junior midfielder Lauren Berman scored on a header that went just over BU's goalie. Berman's goal, her second of the season, was assisted by Jade Ruiters.

The Eagles scored again in the 27th minute of the game. McKenzie Meehan, coming off of a two goal effort against Stony Brook, scored on a header off a set up from Samantha Hiatt.

BC's final goal, another header, was scored by Kayla Jennings. This was the redshirt freshman's third goal of the season.

Alexis Bryant earned her first shut out of the year for the Eagles, and improved her record to 2-0-1.

The Eagles play again on Friday night, returning to Newton for a 7 PM match against Cincinnati. The Bearcats are 3-1-0 this season. Their only loss occurred on the road at Purdue.
