The Eagles open their season on Nov. 11 at Conte Forum against the Nicholls State Colonials, who finished 11-23 in the Southland Conference last year. The non-conference slate features four neutral-site games. After four home games to begin the year, the Eagles will travel to the Barclays Center on Black Friday to take on the Kansas State Wildcats. Depending on the results of the Friday matchups at the Barclays Center, the Eagles will then take on either Maryland or Richmond the next day, Sat., Nov. 26. The Eagles will also play Auburn on Dec. 12 at Madison Square Garden in the Under Armour “Reunion” game, and Fairfield on Dec. 21 at Mohegan Sun. Other than the tournament games, the Eagles do not play a game away from Conte Forum during their non-conference slate.
The Eagles’ non-conference opponents had a combined record of 227-226 during the 2015-16 season, good for a combined winning percentage of .501.
