Boston College Basketball Can Make You Very Rich (But Probably Won’t)

In case you needed any more evidence - and you probably didn’t - that Boston College football and basketball are seen as being a long, long way from national contention, the oddsmakers are happy to provide it to you.

Yesterday, we reported that BC football is the longest shot in the ACC to win the title at 100-to-1. TopBet sportsbook has posted its college basketball futures, and the story is much the same.

The Eagles are 1,000-to-1 shots to win the National Championship, tied for last among teams actually on the board. The nearest ACC teams to BC at the bottom of the barrel are Wake Forest, NC State, Georgia Tech and Pitt at 250-1. UMass and Providence are also down toward the bottom of the list, highlighting the sad state of basketball in New England (Connecticut doesn’t count).

So hey, go place $50 on BC and you could make some serious cash! But you probably won’t.
