On Friday night, the Boston College Eagles alumni team defeated their BU counterparts in this year's Comm Ave Charity Classic. The event raised $55,000 to benefit Compassionate Care ALS and the Travis Roy Foundation. BC and BU have now each won a Comm Ave Charity Classic game
It initially seemed as though this year's event would be a back and forth game, but BC ended up running away with it. The final score was 13-8 in favor of the Eagles.
The first goal of the game came just 34 seconds into the first period. Kevin Hayes scored off a pass from his former linemate, Bill Arnold. Brian Leetch registered the second assist on the goal.
BC's second goal came from Conor Sheary. Sheary played for UMass, but joined the Eagles as a special guest. His goal was assisted by his Pittsburgh Penguins teammate, Brian Dumoulin.
