Head Coach Bill Kenneberg opening statement...

I'm a little disappointed with the way we played from the third inning on where I thought we lost some momentum a little bit. We made some mistakes on the bases as well as defensively. They had the big inning. Credit Boston College for hanging in there and keeping the pressure on us, particularly late in the game. Their leaders did a great job today. Congratulations to Boston College.

Kinneberg on Mike King...

The one thing King did was establish the changeup, and that was the difference in the ballgame for him. Early in the game, he wasn't using it. About in the third inning he established it and kept us off balance.

Kinneberg on the Utes' next game against Tulane...

We will start (LHP Josh) Lapiana the first game. Tulane is a really good ballclub. They showed it today by winning late. I'll have to go back and look at scouting reports. I haven't done a whole lot of review on them, the assistant coaches have. They have a great offense. We have been playing with our backs against the wall all year long. It is no different now and it is win or go home now. I think the kids will be up for the challenge and come out and play hard tomorrow.

Pitcher Dalton Carroll on his command throughout the game...

Pretty early, I was able to establish my fastball in and out. I got ahead of hitters. I had quite a bit of success in the early innings. Towards the end, I started getting behind in the count, and that's when I started to find some trouble.

Infielder Cody Scaggari on losing momentum after a good first inning...

I thought we put barrels on the ball at the beginning. We started off hot. I thought we would keep that going towards the end. They were mixing a little bit better, and I guess we weren't seeing it as well. I think we stuck with it throughout the game for the most part, but they came out on top.
