Mike Gambino opening statement...

I think we got a little testy there in the third inning. Both teams got a little chirpy and I don't think we did a great job handling that. I think we lost a little bit of our focus. We as a ballclub could have done a better job. The umpiring crew did a wonderful job. They didn't run anybody but they got it back under control. I thought that was really professional. That crew was awesome. I want to thank those guys. As far as that ballgame, I thought Dalton Carroll was awesome. We couldn't hit much off of him. He was just great all game. Mike King didn't get the win, but safe to say he was able to become completely poised and get through six and two-third. We don't win that game without Mike King.

Gambino on his team's will to fight back...

If you look at the second half of our season, we've had our backs against the wall multiple times. We have been playing playoff baseball for the past six weeks. The things I love about this ball club is it all comes back to how close knit they are, how much they care about each other, and how much they mean to each other. Offensively, we couldn't get anything going, but Mike (King) knows if he stays in this game, they'll fight back. I felt in this dugout today there was a complete belief that we were going to win this ballgame. Not to take anything away from Utah, they are a great ballclub. That team is just really good and the lineup is scary. We don't really care who we're playing. The boys believe in each other.

Gambino on playing in Oxford...

The boys were extremely excited to come to Oxford. I think as a ballclub, with our players and all of the parents talking, I think we are falling in love with Oxford, the people here, how we are being treated and the hospitality. I think we are going to have a lot of people rooting for Ole Miss in every sport down the road after the experience they have given us here."

Johnny Adams on the Eagles pregame ritual...

It's something we do before every game. Justin (Dunn), when he's not pitching, is usually in the middle and fires the guys up to set the tone. We've been doing it all year and all last year and it has worked out really good for us.
