The Dudes Strike Back 2016: Get To Know #98 DT Jack Kenny

He played in one game last year, albeit it was against Howard. Could Jack Kenny see the field more often in 2016?

Name: Jack Kenny

Position: Defensive Lineman

Number: #98

Year: Sophomore

Height: 6-foot-3

Weight: 257 lbs.

Hometown: Baltimore, MD

High School: Loyola Blakefield

2013 Stats (HS): Earned All-Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association first-team honors as a senior lineman at Loyola Blakefield. Earned two varsity letters as an offensive and defensive lineman for the Dons. Also earned two varsity letters in baseball (via bceagles.com).

2014 Stats: Did not see any game time

2015 Stats: Played in one game against Howard.

2016 Projections: Given the depth BC has up front, I have to imagine Kenny is going to remain a depth guy, someone who may only see time in blowouts (like Howard) or if there were a litany of injuries that forced him on to the field.

How'd He Get Here: Kenny, a defensive lineman from Baltimore, was a late addition to the program after earning a roster spot over the summer. Neither Rivals nor 247Sports has a profile page on the defensive lineman.

Uniform History: A defensive lineman from Alexandria, Virginia, Mike Willetts wore the #98 jersey from 1996-99. Willetts still ranks among the program's leaders in career sacks with 15. Scanlan Trophy winner Mike Degnan, a DT from nearby Norwood, also wore the number from 1984-86. The number was most recently worn by DE Alex Albright, a four-year letterwinner and co-captain of the Eagles during his senior year (2010). He shares the number with kicker Mike Knoll.
