Boston College Basketball: Eagles Draw Kansas State in Barclays Classic

NCAA Basketball: ACC/A10- Fordham vs Boston College Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

The Boston College Eagles are making a return trip to the Barclays Center for the annual Barclays Classic. The matchups are now set. Per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, the Eagles will take on the Kansas State Wildcats in the first round of the tournament.

The tournament will mark a return to Brooklyn for the Eagles, who played a December matinee matchup against a fellow Jesuit counterpart, the Fordham Rams. The Eagles emerged from that matchup victorious, outlasting the Rams 64-55. The Eagles were powered by a 19 point performance by then-freshman Jerome Robinson.

The Barclays Classic will be one of two appearances by the Eagles in the 2016-17 season. The Eagles, following the Barclays Classic, will return to Brooklyn for the ACC Tournament in March.

The matchup will mark the Eagles' third against the Wildcats since the 1949-50 season. The series is currently deadlocked at 1-1, with the Wildcats owning a five point advantage over the Eagles.
