The casinos in Las Vegas have been busy as they have set the win total over unders for the upcoming 2016 NCAA season. Where did the bookmakers set the Boston College Eagles, a team that won 3 games last year? The answer? 6.5, which would be good enough to go bowling.
Given the struggles of 2015, that number might seem high, but there has to be a few factors that Las Vegas took into account when they set this number. First, Boston College has one of the easiest non conference schedules in the country. Unless something catastrophic happens, that should be four easy wins for BC. The second factor probably has to do with BC's offense, which was historically bad last year. To address this BC brought in a new offensive coordinator, a presumptive new starting quarterback, and a grad transfer on the offensive line. You have to imagine that the offense will only get better.
Let's look at the over/under on some of BC's opponents this year
Georgia Tech 6.5
UMass 2.5
Virginia Tech 6.5
Buffalo 5.5
Florida State 9.5
Clemson 10.5
Louisville 9
Syracuse 4
NC State 6
UConn 5
So, what do you think? Is 6.5 going to be over or under BC's win total in 2016?
