BC Women's Lacrosse Falls to Stony Brook in NCAA Tournament

Congrats to the Eagles on a great season!

The Boston College Women's Lacrosse team's season came to an end this evening with a loss to Stony Brook in the NCAA Tournament.

BC got off to an early 2-0 lead with goals from Caroline Margolis and Kate Weeks. BC then allowed three straight goals, to give Stony Brook their first lead. BC regained their lead by scoring two goals in under 10 seconds, including Kate Weeks' second goal of the game. Stony Brook ended the first half by scoring another trio of unanswered goals and BC went into the half down 6-4.

Stony Brook extended their lead to 3 goals at the start of the second half, but Kate Weeks was quick to cut the lead with her third goal of the game. BC then tied the game with a goal from Sarah Mannelly to Tess Chandler, followed by a goal from Tess Chandler to Sarah Mannelly. With 18 minutes left Stony Brook went up by one, only to have Sarah Mannelly tie the game at 8-8. Stony Brook responded with two goals. Kenzie Kent almost cut their lead to one, but her goal was called off due to a dangerous shot. Stony Brook and BC would each score one more goal in the game, which ended in a 11-9 loss for BC. BC's final goal, like its first, was scored by Caroline Margolis.

BC ends the year with an 11-9 record.
