Boston College fans have grown accustomed to the women's lacrosse team being a strong contender for hardware each spring. Unfortunately, this season has been a rebuilding year by the program's standards, sitting at 10-7 and 2-5 in the ACC going in to tournament play; in order to keep the season going, they will need to win the ACC tournament this weekend in Blacksburg, Va.
Their first foe will be a familiar one in Syracuse, the team BC seems to play in every crucial lacrosse game. The Eagles upset Syracuse in the regular season and will hope for a similar performance to put them in to the ACC semifinals.
BC's quarterfinal game on Thursday will be broadcast on NESN Plus in New England, and available nationally via ESPN3 and ACC regional sports networks.
