BC WINS IN OVERTIME, WILL PLAY FOR NATIONAL TITLE SUNDAY

Darin Weeks

Haley Skarupa scored on the first shift of overtime for the Eagles, who reversed a 2-0 second period deficit to come back and defeat the Clarkson Golden Knights 3-2 in the Frozen Four semifinal. It's BC's first ever win at the Frozen Four, and they will now advance to Sunday's national championship game. BC will play the winner of Wisconsin and Minnesota, who face off later tonight.

BC was very nearly dead in the water, scoring with just over three minutes to go on a little poke by Kaliya Johnson to force the extra session. BC seemed destined for frustration, going 0-for-7 on a spate of power play opportunities throughout the game.

BC also had to sweat out a Clarkson power play in the final two minutes of regulation, surviving chance after chance. Sophomore goalie Katie Burt was a hero over and over for BC, Jeening them alive until they found their stride. Woooooo!!
