It's game day in Burlington, Vermont as the Boston College Eagles look to finish off a weekend and regular season sweep of the Catamounts (who BC could easily run in to in the playoffs). BC gave up a goal in the first 15 seconds last night but locked down Vermont for the rest of the game, earning a big 3-1 win.
With Notre Dame's loss to Providence last night, BC is now in first place in Hockey East. Win a win tonight, the Eagles will be in first place going in to the season's final weekend, as the quest for the Hockey East regular season title heats up. Notre Dame and Providence are the other two teams in the picture; they will face off again tonight in Providence at 7.
