Jimmy Hayes picked up an assist on Boston's first goal in their loss to Toronto.

Cory Schneider made 31 saves to lead the Devils to a win over the Rangers.

February 3


Brian Gionta picked up an empty net goal to secure a Buffalo win over Montreal.

Johnny Gaudreau picked up a goal and an assist to help Calgary defeat Carolina. The tip-in goal was Gaudreau's 21st this season. (Guy sitting behind me at the Beanpot that called Gaudreau "a flash in the pan" - I hope you start reading this column.)

Brian Gionta assisted on Buffalo's first goal in their loss to Boston.

Chris Kreider scored NY's fourth goal, an empty netter, to solidify a Rangers victory of Minnesota.

Pat Eaves assisted on Dallas' first goal in their victory over Colorado.

Cam Atkinson assisted on Columbus' lone regulation goal in their shootout win over Vancouver.

February 5


Brian Gibbons picked up an assist in Hartford's 5-0 blanking of Portland.

Philip Samuelsson recorded two assists in Springfield's loss to the Penguins.


Steven Whitney picked up a goal and an assist in Norfolk's victory over Adirondack.

Nick Petrecki scored a goal in Indy's loss to Cincinnati.

Paul Carey picked up his first NHL goal to tie the game for the Caps (on fellow Eagle Cory Schneider, no less). Washington would go on to defeat NJ in the shootout. Carey positioned himself in front of the net and was able to deflect the puck into the net.

Chris Kreider picked up his second goal of the week to help NY beat Philly.

Patrick Eaves picked up an assist on the lone Dallas goal in their loss to Chicago.


Philip Samuelsson picked up three assists in Springfield's 6-3 win over Syracuse, making his total for the week 5 assists.

Ben Smith scored a goal in San Jose's loss to Ontario.


Patch Alber picked up an assist in Adirondack's 5-1 win over Norfolk.

Nick Petrecki picked up his second goal of the week for Indy in a win over Cincinnati. His goal was the game winner.
