Two swings and misses, and a possible homerun on the docket

Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

National Signing Day is only 48 hours away, and there is a ton of news on the recruiting front. Let's take a look at what has happened in the past 24 hours:

BC Commit Eddy Fish Flips To Illinois

This one seemed inevitable as soon as it was announced that he was taking a visit this weekend. They offered, and that was all she wrote. BC only had him slotted as a preferred walk on, so getting a full scholarship clearly meant a lot for the Groton native. The three star recruit had BC connections, which makes this kind of weird, but really you can't blame him for going to a school that felt he was a full scholarship offensive lineman.

Isaiah Wright Chooses Temple

The three star wide receiver from New Jersey held a final three of Temple, Rutgers and Boston College, but in the end the Owls won out. Recently Wright decommitted from Rutgers, but had visited BC in the past month. He was going to announce on National Signing Day, but some of his teammates let the cat out of the bag.

Good News With Elijah Johnson

Massive two star OL Elijah Johnson might be heading to Boston College. While he only has two stars, Johnson has an impressive list of offers including Maryland, Illinois, Indiana, Pittsburgh, UVA, Wake Forest and West Virginia along with lesser schools such as UConn. There hasn't been a date to set his decision, but Johnson has visited BC. Could there be good news in the future?
