Colin White, Casey Fitzgerald, and Joe Woll have all been named to Team USA’s preliminary World Junior Championship roster. They will attend training camp Dec. 16-20 at HarborCenter in Buffalo, New York, followed by an additional camp in Oshawa, Ontario, from Dec. 20-24. The final 23-man roster should be announced by December 24.
Colin White is one of 5 returning players on the roster. White has 10 goals and 5 assists for BC so far this season. He missed 2 games due to a lingering injury but has been playing well when he is on the ice. White should pretty much be a lock to make Team USA’s final roster.
Casey Fitzgerald leads BC defenders with 13 points so far this season. He is only a sophomore but he has been a key player and leader on defense for the Eagles.
Joe Woll, BC’s starting goaltender, is the only Eagles’ freshman to make the preliminary roster this year. Woll has a .919 save percentage for BC and has shown some real flashes of brilliance in net.
White, Fitzgerald, and Woll will have a familiar face behind the bench if they make the team - Coach Greg Brown is an assistant coach for Team USA in this year’s tournament.
