Eagles in the Pros 12/12-12/18: Paul Carey Extends Point Streak to 18 Games

NHL

Cam Atkinson (Columbus Blue Jackets): Atkinson continues to be a vital part of the Blue Jackets’ offense. Last week, he scored the GWG in a victory over Edmonton, picked up an assist in a win over the Flames, and had a goal and an assist in Columbus’ win against Vancouver.

Brian Boyle (Tampa Bay Lightning): Boyle scored Tampa’s first two goals in a 6-3 win over Calgary and also recorded an assist in a loss to Vancouver. Boyle’s first goal was a tip-in on the power play, and his second goal is your must watch goal this week.

Brian Dumoulin (Pittsburgh Penguins): Dumoulin set up a great play to earn him an assist in Pittsburgh’s win over Boston last week.

Patrick Eaves (Dallas Stars): Eaves continues to have a terrific season. He scored 1 goal last week, a wrister in Dallas’ win over the Ducks.

Brian Gionta (Buffalo Sabres): Gionta scored with a deflection only 12 seconds after his teammate had scored in Buffalo’s win over LA. Gionta also picked up an assist in Buffalo’s victory over the Islanders.

Johnny Gaudreau (Calgary Flames): The Flames lost both of their games last week, but Gaudreau picked up an assist in each loss.

Noah Hanifin (Carolina Hurricanes): Hanifin assisted on Carolina’s second goal in a wild 8-6 come from behind win.

Jimmy Hayes (Boston Bruins): Hayes scored Boston’s only goal in a 1-0 win over LA on Sunday. The tip-in was his second regulation goal this season.

Kevin Hayes (New York Rangers): Hayes recorded 2 assists last week, one in a win over the Stars and one in a victory over Nashville.

Chris Kreider (New York Rangers): Kreider scored 1 goal last week, the Rangers’ first in their win over New Jersey.

Brooks Orpik (Washington Capitals): Orpik recorded 4 shots on goal and 4 hits over 3 games last week.

Zach Sanford (Washington Capitals): Sanford recorded 1 hit and 1 block in 1 game last week.

Cory Schneider (New Jersey Devils): Schneider made 26 saves in NJ’s loss to the Blues and 25 in a loss to the Rangers.

Ben Smith (Toronto Maple Leafs): Smith recorded 6 SOG and 6 hits over 3 games last week.

Miles Wood (New Jersey Devils): Wood scored twice last week - knocking in a loose puck in a loss to St. Louis and scoring off a great feed in a loss to the Rangers.

AHL

Patrick Brown (Charlotte Checkers): Brown scored an empty net goal to secure the victory for Charlotte in a 4-2 win over Manitoba.

Paul Carey (Hershey Bears): Carey brought his point streak up to 18 games last week, scoring 2 goals and recording 3 assists over three games. This is the longest AHL point streak since 2008-09.

Tommy Cross (Providence Bruins): Cross scored a goal and recorded an assist last week. His goal jumpstarted the scoring in Providence’s 3-2 comeback win over Bridgeport.

Thatcher Demko (Utica Comets): Demko made 30 saves in an OT loss to Albany and 17 saves in a 3-0 loss to St. John’s.

Brian Gibbons (Albany Devils): Gibbons had a hand in each of Albany’s 3 goals in the Devil’s 3-1 win over Toronto, scoring the first 2 goals and assisting on the third. He also picked up an assist in Albany’s win over Utica.

Adam Gilmour (Iowa Wild): Gilmour had one shot in each of Iowa’s 3 games last week.

Stephen Gionta (Bridgeport Sound Tigers): Gionta scored his first goal of the season in Bridgeport’s loss to Syracuse.

Ian McCoshen (Springfield Thunderbirds): McCoshen played in all 3 of the Thunderbirds’ games last week and registered 4 shots on goal.

John Muse (Rochester Americans): Muse saved all 8 shots he faced when called upon to relieve Rochester’s injured starting goalie in a 5-2 win over Toronto. He also made 40 saves in a 4-1 loss to the Penguins.

Philip Samuelsson (St. John’s Ice Caps): Samuelsson returned to the Ice Caps lineup last week. He didn’t much noteworthy besides getting into a fight against a Utica player.

Steve Santini (Albany Devils): Santini recorded 2 shots on goal and was assessed 3 penalties over 3 games last week.

Rob Scuderi (Ontario Reign): Scuderi played in all 4 of Ontario’s games last week. He recorded a helper in the Reign’s 3-2 win over San Diego.

Alex Tuch (Iowa Wild): Tuch scored the first goal in Iowa’s 4-3 loss to Cleveland, picked up an assist in the Wild’s win over Manitoba, and most importantly scored the shootout winner to earn Iowa a 2-1 win over Cleveland.

Joe Whitney (San Antonio Rampage): Whitney assisted on San Antonio’s winning goal in a 4-2 victory over Tuscon and recorded a goal and an assist in his team’s loss to Milwaukee.

ECHL

Patch Alber (Adirondack Thunder): Alber played in all three of Adirondack’s games last week and picked up an assist in the Thunder’s 7-3 win over Brampton.

Teddy Doherty (Manchester Monarchs): Doherty assisted on one of Manchester’s 5 goals in the team’s win over Elmira.

Travis Jeke (Adirondack Thunder): Jeke signed with the Thunder last week after spending the past two months in the SPHL. He played in one game this week and recorded 2 shots.

Parker Milner (South Carolina Stingrays): Milner made 26 saves to help South Carolina earn a win over Norfolk.

NWHL

Lexi Bender (Boston Pride): The Pride did not play last week.

Blake Bolden (Boston Pride): The Pride did not play last week.

Alex Carpenter (Boston Pride): The Pride did not play last week. Carpenter was with Team USA over the weekend.

Emily Field (Boston Pride): The Pride did not play last week.
