Harold Landry continues to bring in the big time awards. Today Boston College announced that the AP selected Harold Landry to the 2nd Team All American. He is the third Eagle in recent history to be given this award joining Luke Kuechly in 2011, and Andre Williams in 2013.
Landry, a junior who finished the season with 15 sacks (tied with Eric Storz, and Mike Mamula for the all time record) and 20.5 tackles for loss second only to former DE/LB Mathias Kiwanuka. Landry has been a challenge for any team that faced Boston College, as he even made plays in games that the Eagles struggled.
Earning the AP All American award is just another notch in the junior’s belt. Along with being named ACC All Conference 1st team, Gold Helmet Award the top honor given by New England journalists, and the George Bulger Lowe Award given to the New England “Heisman”.
The biggest question for Landry now is whether he returns for a senior season at Boston College, or if he goes into the draft. It certainly will be a decision worth keeping an eye on.
Congratulations Harold!
