The Eagles snapped a 3 game losing streak today, defeating St. Francis Brooklyn in the consolation game of the Omni Hotels Classic. St. Francis has struggled this season and is now 1-4, while BC moves to 2-4.
The Eagles beat St. Francis by a score of 73-58. They were led by Kelly Hughes, who continues to be one of the bright spots on this team. Hughes had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds, and she made a season-high 6 3-pointers.
Emilee Daley and Mariella Fasoula were also big contributors for the Eagles in the win. Daley scored 11 points and had 2 steals and 2 blocks, while Fasoula recorded 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Freshman Georgia Pineau led BC in assists with 5.
While this team still has some work to do, their shooting accuracy has continued to improve. Daley's return to the court has also been huge for the Eagles.
Next up, the Eagles will host Penn State in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.
