Boston College’s regular season is over, and they are going bowling again. Heading to Wake Forest, the Eagles overcame offensive struggles to defeat the Demon Deacons 17-14.
The big plays were mostly on defense, as Harold Landry had three sacks to give him the lead in the country, and break BC’s record. BC had a huge touchdown in the fourth quarter on a beautiful touchdown pass by Patrick Towles to Tommy Sweeney. Lukas Denis sealed the game with an interception of John Wolford to it for the Eagles.
The win gives the Eagles a 6-6 record for the season, making them bowl eligible for the third time in Steve Addazio’s four year career. Speaking of which, this basically seals the deal that Addazio will be returning in 2017. Now starts the waiting game, what bowl will BC be going to. Congratulations to the Eagles, a well fought battle and victory today for BC.
