Volleyball Ends Season With Loss to Louisville

It was their 4th 3-0 loss in a row.

The BC volleyball season closed out their season tonight with a 3-0 loss to Louisville. It was BC's 6th loss in a row.

The Eagles got behind early in the first set but kept fighting and were able to get within 1 point of the Cardinals twice. Despite some close comebacks, Louisville won the set 25-18.

The Eagles struggled in the second set, allowing Louisville to start on a 4-0 run. At one point BC let Louisville score 9 unanswered points. The Cardinals won this set by a score of 25-16.

BC played the best in the third set, and had a 3-2 lead early. Despite being ahead/tied/a single point behind for much of the set, Louisville ended up taking over to win 25-22.

This has been a rough season for BC volleyball. The team went 8-22 overall and 3-7 in the ACC. The Eagles played significantly better at home, recording a 7-12 record in Power Gym and a 1-10 record on the road. The last time the volleyball team had a winning record was in 2004, twelve years ago, when the Eagles went 20-12. They lost to Notre Dame in the first round of the 2004 Big East Championship.
