Turnover Laden Game Leads to K-State Victory over Boston College Basketball 72-54

NCAA Basketball: Barclays Center Classic-Boston College vs Kansas State Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

BROOKLYN, N.Y- Despite a difficult start to the game for Kansas State, the Boston College Eagles had troubles of their own, comitting 21 turnovers in Friday evening's contest en route to a 72-54 thumping at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The Eagles and Wildcats struggled offensively early. The Eagkes struggled with turnovers, while the Wildcats struggled from the field. Ultimately the Wildcats found their stride offensively, BC continued to make mistakes, and the game eventually went out of BC's reach sometime in the second quarter.

The loss snaps a three game winning streak for BC, who rebounded from a stunning loss to Nicholls State with three wins of their own.

Meanwhile Kansas State moves to 5-0 on the year, and advances to the Barclays Center Classic championship, where it will play the winner of the nightcap between Richmond and Maryland.

BC will play the loser of the nightcap in a consolation game Saturday night.
