Women's Basketball Announces 3 Recruits

They will join BC as members of the class of 2021.

Yesterday, Coach Johnson and the Eagles and the Eagles announced 3 recruits for the class of 2021: Sydney Lowery, Grace Marko, and Milan Bolden-Morris. The recruits are all guards, and will replace graduating seniors Emilee Daley (F) and Kelly Hughes (G) and graduate student Kailey Edwards (F). Hughes was BC's leading scorer last season and should continue to be an important offensive factor during her senior year. Edwards and Daley have also been big contributors on both offense and defense.

Johnson described Lowery, Marko, and Bolden-Morris as "strong, physical guards with great skills who will improve our team immediately."

Milan Bolden-Morris is a 5'10" guard from Loxahatchee, FL. She plays at Cardinal Newman in West Palm Beach, FL, where she holds the three point record (177) and is the all-time leading scorer with 1,393 points. She averaged 16.8 points and 8 rebounds as a junior. Her offensive and rebounding skills will be important as the Eagles try to replace Hughes.

Sydney Lowery is a 5'10" guard from Shelton, CT. She is a two-time team captain at St. Luke's in New Canaan, CT. Lowery is the all-time leading scorer at St. Luke's with 1,800 career points. She scored her 1,000th career point when she was just a sophomore. Lowry's offensive skills could have her seeing significant playing time right away if she easily transitions to the college game. ESPN has her ranked as a 3-star recruit, and 30th in her position.

Grace Marko is a 6'0" guard from Boca Raton, FL. She average 13.1 points per game as a junior at Boca Raton Community High School, and scored her 1,000th career point as a junior as well. Coach Johnson noted her size and her skill in the transition game as reasons why she will be an asset to the squad. ESPN has her ranked as a 3-star recruit.
