TWEETCAP: Boston College Football Annihilated By No. 3 Clemson Tigers 56-10

NCAA Football: Clemson at Boston College Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

It has been one year, 10 months and nine days, or 679 days since the last time the Boston College Eagles football team last won an ACC playoff game. Boston College was unable to get off the schneid Friday night against No. 3 Clemson, as the Eagles fell listlessly to the Tigers 56-10 in front of a sellout crowd at Alumni Stadium, and a national audience watching on ESPN. The Eagles struggled to get things going offensively, with Patrick Towles held to just 91 yards in the air. BC’s defense also let up a season high 56 points, eclipsing the previous seasonal high-water mark of 49 points established in Blacksburg, Va., against the Virginia Tech Hokies. The Eagles will have the next week off, and then the Eagles will host the Syracuse Orange at the Heights, where the Eagles will once again look to win it’s first ACC contest in since the 2014 season.
