Boston College women's soccer fell to 2-7-0 in the ACC today with a 3-2 loss at Virginia. Virginia outshout the Eagles 22-7 in the game and dominated with 13 corner kicks to BC's 3.

The Eagles started off the scoring at 5:07 when McKenzie Meehan scored her 12th goal of the season on a breakaway. Meehan left the game with an injury following her goal.

The game remained 1-0 until 50 minutes in, after which BC let Virginia score 3 unanswered goals: a penalty kick, a shot off a loose ball from a corner kick, and a header.

The Eagles cut Virginia's lead to 3-2 at 79:46. Gaby Carreiro scored her first goal of the season, sending a shot from 20 yard out into the far corner of the net. The game would end 3-2 in favor of Virginia.

The Eagles will end their season at home on Thursday. They take on Syracuse at 7 PM, but fans should head over early to see BC honor their seniors: Rosie DiMartino, Hayley Dowd, Meghan MacDonald, McKenzie Meehan, and Andrea O'Brien.
