END OF 3: Syracuse Leads Boston College 21-17

Patrick Towles gives the Eagles life heading into the fourth.

Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

Patrick Towles ran 75 yards on the last play of an otherwise ugly period, to keep Boston College alive heading into the final frame against rival Syracuse.

An 11-yard touchdown pass from Eric Dungey to Steve Ishmael gave Syracuse some breathing room early in the quarter, as Boston College gave away a promising drive of its own on the other end.

Just before Cuse marched 86 yards in nine plays, BC had penetrated deep into Orange territory. But, a bobbled ball by receiver Michael Walker was intercepted by Syracuse linebacker Parris Bennett, erasing another Eagle scoring opportunity.

Can BC pull this one out? Stay with us in the fourth.
