Boston College benefited from a 60-yard interception return by William Harris, which set up a Mike Knoll field goal, but Syracuse controlled the rest of the opening period here at Alumni Stadium.

In fact, if not for a Syracuse botched snap recovered by BC's Matt Milano, things could be far worse for the Eagles. But, as it is, BC remains within striking distance of Syracuse in this critical ACC clash.
