Women's Soccer Falls to Clemson

The Eagles fell to the Tigers despite outshooting them.

The BC women's soccer team fell to Clemson last night as they continue to struggle in ACC play. The Eagles outshot Clemson 16-6, although the teams were tied with 3 shots on goal apiece.

Clemson struck first, scoring at 11:17 to put the Tigers up 1-0. Clemson scored again 5 minutes later to raise their lead to 2. The Tigers held the lead into the half as the Eagles were unable to score.

McKenzie Meehan scored the Eagles only goal of the game at minute 69. This was Meehan's 11th goal of the season. She was assisted by Gaby Carreiro and Lauren Berman.

Unfortunately, BC was unable to tie the game and they were handed another defeat. The Eagles are now 2-5-0 in the ACC and 10-5-1 overall.

BC has two games remaining in the season. On Sunday the Eagles head to Virginia for a 1PM match that can be watched for free here. On Thursday night the Eagles return to Newton for a Senior Night game against Syracuse at 7 PM.
