Boston College Football: Start Time, TV Info Announced for Contest Against Syracuse Orange

NCAA Football: Syracuse at Boston College Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

A game that has become crucial to the bowl eligibility math for the Boston College Eagles now has a start time. The Eagles will take on the Syracuse Orange at 12:30 PM in front of the home at Alumni Stadium and in front of a television audience watching on the ACC Network syndicate, including MyTV38 in Boston.

BC has not won an ACC game since the 2014 season, when it defeated Syracuse 28-7 on Nov. 29, 2014 in front of a crowd of 30,267 at Alumni Stadium. The Eagles fell to the Orange the last time the two teams met 20-17 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y.

With the schedule beginning to reach the latter half, the attention begins to turn to bowl eligibility, a previously thought formality given the ease of the schedule. With six games upcoming, including the contest against the Orange, the Eagles realistically only have three winnable games upcoming, including the contest against Syracuse. If the Eagles don’t defeat the Orange, it would require an upset in an upcoming game against a strong opponent, something the struggling Eagles may not be up for.
