HALFTIME: Boston College Leads Buffalo 21-3

BC has Buffalo on the ropes heading into intermission

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

The Eagles are beginning to assert themselves over Buffalo, though things still aren't perfect.

Patrick Towles looked great in a five-minute drive that ended with a nice touchdown pass to Charlie Callinan, but he fumbled the following drive, setting Buffalo up with 1st and 10 at the Eagle 11.

But the BC defense would hold from there, forcing a Bulls field goal, and minimizing the damage.

The Eagles then scored on an 11-play, 84-yard drive there that ate up 6:07 of clock, ending the quarter with an 18-point lead. Two key plays sparked the drive, the first being a pass to Davon Jones on a wheel route out of the backfield that went for 38, and the second an 11-yard score from Towles to Walker on a perfectly thrown ball.

Can the Eagles put this one to bed early and get ready for Clemson? We'll see in the second half.
