END OF 1: Boston College Leads Buffalo 7-0

Meh...

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

Not gonna lie, it was a pretty boring quarter, as the Eagles and Bulls traded punts for most of it.

BC found some excitement when linebacker Matt Milano flew in to block a Buffalo punt, but the Eagles would squander the great field position by turning the ball over on downs four plays later.

So far the wet conditions haven't seemed to affect the game much, with both teams leaning on their ground games, as expected.

BC would finally get a spark when Patrick Towles hit Chris Garrison off play-action for a 44-yard pass deep into Buffalo territory, but the play came at a price. Garrison couldn't get up after the catch, and moments later it was confirmed that the redshirt freshman had a fractured tibia in his left leg.

The Eagles would punch it in moments later, when Davon Jones ran in his first career touchdown, giving BC the lead.
