There is no way you can't get excited about BC-Syracuse basketball. It's one of the relic rivalries from the old Big East, and it's produced memorable matchups along the way. While it's understandable if you're not as excited about this game as you would be when Syracuse is undefeated and ranked #1 in the nation, just remember that this is game features the second game back for old pal Jim Boeheim.
That's right! This game is now with more Boeheim! After returning against North Carolina, it's the second game back for Boeheim following his suspension for violating NCAA rules.
Beyond all of that, this is a huge game for the Orange, who are floundering very badly at 0-4 in the league. They're not quite hitting the panic button, but a loss in this game would cause them to do so. As a result, expect them to play their guts out to avoid falling off the cliff.
As for the Eagles, this is an opportunity to pick off their first ACC win against a team that's sliding. To do it against the Orange would be that much more pleasurable.
Missed you, Jimmy.
