Cam Atkinson scored the first Blue Jackets goal in their 5-2 loss to Minnesota. Atkinson took a great pass to tip the puck into the corner of the net.

January 6


Noah Hanifin picked up his seventh assist of the season in Carolina's 3-2 loss to Vancouver.


Patch Alber had another strong week last week, picking up two assists in Adirondack's win over Manchester.

January 7


Johnny Gaudreau picked up Calgary's lone goal in their loss to Arizona. The goal came from one of his favorite spots: right from the circle.

January 8


Jimmy Hayes picked up a goal (on fellow former Eagle Cory Schneider) in Boston's victory over NJ. Hayes got the redirect off of a shot to get the puck into the net.

Noah Hanifin picked up his second assist of the week on Carolina's game winning goal against Columbus.


Mike Matheson picked up an assist in Portland's victory over St. John's.

Tommy Cross picked up an assist in Providence's win over Bridgeport.

Patrick Brown scored an empty net goal in Charlotte's win against San Diego.


Steve Whitney assisted on two of Norfolk's three goals in their 3-1 victory over Cincinnati.

January 9


Kevin Hayes picked up a goal and an assist in NY's loss to Washington. Hayes hustled down the ice from the penalty box to position himself in front of the net, and was able to maneuver the puck into the net. This was his first goal in 18 games.

Brian Dumoulin picked up an assist in Pittsburgh's victory over Montreal. Dumoulin continues to be a consistently solid defender for the struggling Penguins.

Noah Hanifin continued his offensive week on Saturday, picking up his ninth assist of the season. Hanifin and the Hurricanes defeated the Blue Jackets, but Cam Atkinson scored a great shorthanded breakaway goal for the Jackets.


Joe Whitney scored Bridgeport's first goal in their loss to Hartford.

Peter Harrold picked up an assist in Chicago's loss to Texas.


Patch Alber picked up his third assist of the week in Adirondack's win over South Carolina.

Barry Almeida picked up one assist in Utah's win over Idaho.


Kelli Stack scored CT's winning goal in their game against NY.

January 10


Brian Gionta assisted on Buffalo's game winning goal as they defeated Winnipeg.


Blake Bolden & Emily Field both picked up assists in Boston's 8-1 win over NY.

Kelli Stack scored two goals to help CT defeat Buffalo.

Other Stuff

Chris Kreider was out last week with a hand injury

Nick Petrecki was traded to Indy from Elmira. (Petrecki reportedly did not report to the team).

Paul Carey was recalled to the Washington Capitals from the AHL.
