Three Stars: Mariella Fasoula Is This Week's #1

The basketball doubleheader on Tuesday produced mixed results. Neither team will really be satisfied with how they performed for the most part against a team they were expected to beat fairly easily. However, Mariella Fasoula had a standout performance for the women and earned the #1 star of the week from BCI Staff.

#1 Star: Mariella Fasoula, WBB (16 points, 4 first place votes)

The freshman from Athens has been a revelation for BC, and she had one of her best games so far on Tuesday, dropping 20 on Bryant to lead BC to the victory. The Eagles are now 11-1 on the season and Fasoula has played a major role.

#2 Star: Colin White, men's hockey (10 points, 1 first place vote)

The men's hockey team's week was nothing to write home about, but Colin White had a pretty fantastic week, scoring in three of the US's four group stage games at the WJC and emerging as a first line player for the Americans.

#3 Star: Eli Carter, MBB (7 points, 1 first place vote)

For much of the game, especially in the first half, Carter's turnovers and decision-making were frustrating. However, Carter stepped up in the second half and OT and helped boost the Eagles to the win, avoiding UNH's upset bid.
