2015-2016 Boston College Basketball Schedule Released

Eagles to open the season up on November 14

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

Though most eyes at Boston College this week are on the start of football season, there was a reminder today that the winter sports season is also just around the corner: the full 2015-2016 men's basketball schedule was officially released.

The Eagles open their second season under Jim Christian on Saturday, November 14 at Conte Forum against St. Francis Brooklyn (time TBD). That game kicks off a season-opening three game homestand which culminates in what's likely to be an important matchup against Harvard on Sunday, November 22 at 12:30 PM against Harvard. Last season, BC defeated Harvard to snap a losing streak against the Crimson that dated back to 2009.

The non-conference schedule is not exactly a gauntlet, but it does feature a few more "feature" games than last year's did, when BC pretty much faced all cupcakes. Penn State will be visiting BC as part of the B1G/ACC challenge, coming to Conte Forum on December 2. The Eagles will also make a trip to Providence on December 9 to take on the Friars at the Dunk, in the latest renewal of a long-running series.

The other highlight of the non-conference schedule is BC's participation in the Wooden Classic in California from Nov. 26-29, which begins with a game against Michigan State.
