Name: Atem Ntantang

Position: Cornerback

Number: #29 (changed from #39)

Year: Sophomore

Height: 5-foot-11

Weight: 193 lbs.

Hometown: Purcellville, VA

High School: Woodgrove HS

2013 Stats: Was redshirted in 2013

2014 Stats: Played in 12 games for the Eagles, all on special teams, recording two tackles

2015 Projections: Atem seems like a special teamer at this point, could earn playing time on defense if he impresses during summer camp. When BC needed to fill in depth last year at CB they chose freshmen, but Addazio has shown that he will play whatever guy earns it.

Over/Under: Six Tackles

How'd He Get Here: Atem was a 2* cornerback, who graduated from Woodgrove HS and chose Boston College over claimed offers from Columbia and Yale. Al Washington was his lead recruiter.

Twitter Feed: You can follow Atem at @atem_ntantang, who asks a philosophical question.

Uniform History: The first varsity letter wearer to bear #29 was John Heaphy, a center in 1919. Starting in 2007 cornerback Tajii Morris wore it on his way his way to starting all games his senior season. After that Dominick LeGrande, another DB wore it before transferring to Marshall, and finally walk on James McCaffrey wore it for the Eagles before WR/DB Joel Zoungrana who left the college after last season.

Quotable: Atem on being the first D1 Football Player from his HS
