Boston College GIF of the Year: Octofinals, Matchup #8

We've come to the end of the octofinals, and only the strongest GIFs have shown what it takes to stay alive in the bracket. To be sure, there were some very good entrants that have made early exits, such as Castonzo's touchdown dance in the first round and a couple of the better GIFs in the second.

Yesterday's matchup was an example of that. Matt O'Connor's screwup in the national championship game had to go up against Sherman Alston, and Sherman Alston prevailed. Sherm will have a quarterfinal matchup against today's winner.

Daley Upsets Duke

Daley's deeeep three pointer in the waning seconds against Duke came up with a big win in round one. She took a 59-41 win over Ryan Fitzgerald's beauty of a goal to advance.

Tic Tac Toe

Adam Gilmour's finisher barely scraped by in the first round, taking the win over the empty net celebration over BU by a 51-49 tally -- just three individual votes. Hockey GIF on Hockey GIF crime.
