A good tournament, but what else?

Boston College basketball released their out of conference schedule for the upcoming season. Without further discussion let's take a look.

November 14- St. Francis Terriers
November 19- Central Connecticut Blue Devils
November 22- Harvard Crimson
Thanksgiving Weekend- Wooden Classic (Arizona, Michigan State, Providence, Evanston, Providence, Santa Clara, UC Irvine)
December 2- Penn State Nittany Lions (B10/ACC Challenge)
December 6- UMass Lowell Riverhawks
December 9- at Providence Friars
December 13- Maine Black Bears
December 19- Delaware Blue Hens
December 22- Fordham Rams (at Barclay Center)

At first glance you have to think this slate is underwhelming. The home slate is certainly not going to be selling many tickets, unless watching Delaware floats your boat. However, you have to remember that this team is very young and putting them up against a tough OOC could spell a 2013 type disaster all over again. BC should have a tougher schedule, but at this point it would be detrimental to the program to put one together. Then again if BC somehow has a miracle season, this schedule could certainly bite them in the butt if the committee is looking at strength of schedule.

Anyways thats just the out of conference schedule, conference schedules will be released later. The more attractive matchups certainly will certainly be part of their ACC slate. BC will be facing Syracuse, Notre Dame, Clemson, UNC, Florida State, Miami, Georgia Tech, Duke, and Virginia Tech all at Conte Forum.
