2015 Boston Marathon: Marathon Monday Shoutouts and Open Thread

New, 3 comments

Happy Patriot's Day to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Let's play 26.2.

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

It's one of the most special days of the year in the City of Boston, and for everyone at Boston College, as the 2015 Boston Marathon is here. Odds are, either you or someone you know is either running in or watching the race today. It's going to be a soaker out there later in the day, apparently, so dress warm and bring a poncho to cheer the runners home.

Since so many members of the BC community will have friends or loved ones running today, I thought I'd open up this open thread for people to give their shoutouts.

If you're watching the race from Mile 21 at BC, please share your photos and videos with us on social media - tweet @BCInterruption or find us on Facebook. Last year, someone got video of the elite runners passing by Main Gate at BC - that was pretty sweet.

Track your friends and favorite runners with the BAA 2015 Marathon app.

Here are my shoutouts for today:

Maureen Keegan, Boston College Class of 2010, running for Dana Farber. Donate here.

Meagan McCarthy, Boston College Class of 2014, running for the Travis Roy Foundation. Donate here.

Dave Levy, Boston College Class of 2006, running for Newton Wellesley Hospital. Donate here.

Good luck to all the runners! Who are you pulling for today? Enjoy the day, Eagles.
