#CountdownToJY1K: October 23, 2011, BC 4 Northeastern 3

We had to give a shoutout to another come from behind win at Matthews Arena following last night's comeback.

Last night, BC beat Northeastern by a score of 4-3, despite a lackluster first two periods. The Eagles went into the third period trailing 3-1, with the lone goal coming from Ryan Fitzgerald on the PK. The Eagles scored three times in the third for the comeback win, with Matty Gaudreau picking up the GWG.

In 2011, BC went into the third period at Matthews down by the same 3-1 score, and managed a comeback win (albeit in overtime).

Kevin Hayes scored first in the game, giving BC an early lead over Northeastern. Three minutes late, Northeastern tied things up on a power play goal. Northeastern's Joseph Manno then scored twice, once late in the first and once in the second, to secure a Northeastern lead.

Jerry York and his team weren't going to back down easily though. The Eagles came into the third period ready to go. Barry Almeida cut Northeastern's lead to one at 8:04 in the third, and Brian Dumoulin scored just a few minutes later to force overtime.

With about a minute left to go in overtime, Arnold redirected a shot from Patch Alber into the net. The refs took a while to review the goal, but ultimately the goal stood and the Eagles took home the win.

Milner recorded 19 saves in the win, while Northeastern's Chris Rawlings stopped an impressed 39 shots.

After a terrible double loss weekend at Maine in late January, BC would go on an undefeated run, culminating in the 2012 National Championship. Arnold provided another OT winner for BC in the 2012 Beanpot during their undefeated streak.
