BC 0, PC 0 after two: who will blink first?
With Colin White and Miles Wood out of the lineup, BC's lines today strongly resemble what they rolled out last season. So far, this feels a lot like watching last year's team play. Appropriately, it's 0-0, which would have felt right last season between these two teams. Despite both having top-10 offenses in the nation, they've each only had a few quick-hit chances and no really dangerous sustained pressure for the most part.
Providence largely had the better of the play though it was not crisp on either side. BC and PC tied in shots 9-9 in the frame, with a vast majority of shots for both teams coming in the final six minutes.
BC had another key power play opportunity with just under two minutes to play in the second period, but failed to convert.
Last year, I would have felt two things right now: 1) If BC gives up the first goal, they're toast; 2) I expect Sanford or Tuch to be the hero and pull a goal out of their hat. Let's see what happens.
