The post season is finally upon us and the Boston College Eagles have advanced to the NCAA tournament! A season of hard work all comes down to this. The 12-8 Eagles were ranked #11 heading into Selection Sunday, but were not guaranteed a spot in the field. Thanks to a strong regular season where BC faced the best of the best, the committee gave the Eagles an at-large bid. But who will they play?
Boston College is going to be taking on last year's tournament darling Albany. The Great Danes are dangerous, having reached the semifinals last year and they have a very strong team this year as well. We'll have a game preview up on Wednesday. But for now just prepare for ACC domination. That's right, all 7 ACC field hockey teams made the tournament, grabbing 6 of the 7 at large bids and making up 7/18th of the tournament field.
