After it was reported earlier in the week that three-star power forward and BC recruiting target Kevin Marfo was announcing his college decision today, Marfo has announced that he will be playing collegiate basketball in the Atlantic 10 as a member of the George Washington Colonials.
I am grateful and appreciative to all the schools that recruited me. But I will be spending the next 4 years at George Washington University

The decision by Marfo to not come to BC is a considerable blow to potential recruiting for the Eagles. Marfo was one of BC's top local recruits. With Marfo off the table, the Eagles will have to regroup. A potential (local) replacement for Marfo could be Terrell Brown. Brown has not been offered by the Eagles, but the program has shown interest in him, as have UConn, UMass, and Providence. If Brown gets taken, the Eagles will likely have to look outside the local area for a 2016 power forward.
