BC is still seeking their first ACC win of the 2015 season after losing at Wake Forest 3-2. The Eagles were unable to complete their comeback after giving up 3 goals in the first half. The game started with Wake Forest scoring 3 goals in the first 15 minutes of the game to take a commanding lead. By that time the damage had been done and BC spent the rest of the game trying to set up chances. Despite the 3 goals given up, senior Leah Settipane recorded 10 saves and faced 7 corners throughout the game.
The Eagles were able pull two goals back in the second half, with Emily McCoy scoring just after the half to continue her impressive season. Freshman Frederique Haverhals cut the Wake Forest lead to 1 with her first goal of her career late in the game. BC had several chances in the last few minutes to tie the game, but unfortunately could not make up for the first half. With the loss, BC is now 6-5 on the season and 0-3 in ACC play. Next up for the Eagles is a home game against Duke this Friday afternoon.
