Jerry York on Bracco: "We have certain non-negotiable items with our hockey team"

It's pretty rare that any coach's postgame press conference consists of anything but coachspeak. It's also pretty rare for Jerry York to ever say anything that could be even remotely interpreted as even resembling a dig against anyone. As such, his post game quotes last night when asked about Jeremy Bracco's sudden departure were newsworthy.

As reported by WEEI's Scott McLaughlin, and our Arthur Bailin who was there reporting for USCHO, York said that "We have certain non-negotiable items with our hockey team, It’s not for everybody. There’s certain standards that we’re not going to waver from. It’s not for everybody."

York continued, saying "We demand an awful lot from our players. If you’re not ready for that, then it’s not a good environment for you."

Strong words from BC's head coach, but a good insight in to the mentality of the team as they moved forward from Bracco's departure with a huge win last night.
