BC came out firing in the opening minutes of the first period, with four straight shifts in RPI's end. However, the Engineers weathered the early storm and the game eventually settled into a pretty even rhythm for the rest of the period.

As is so often the case, special teams seemed to turn the momentum a bit; BC failed to score on an early power play, then had to kill off two penalties of their own. Once again, Demko is off to a good start.
