Sad to report that former Eagle WR Clarence Cannon passed away on December 29 after what is being termed an illness. Cannon, a native of Roosevelt, New York, who lived in Fall River, Massachusetts where he worked for the Massachusetts State Lottery commission, is survived by two sons. Cannon was 42 years old.
A member of the class of 1994, Cannon played for Coaches Tom Coughlin (91-93) and Dan Henning (94). He is currently 19th on the all time Boston College receiving list with 100 catches and 13th in yardage with 1,741. His best season was 1993, when he recorded three one-hundred-yard games and ten touchdowns, including a 5- and 78-yarder from Glenn Foley, in the Eagles 31-13 Carquest Bowl victory over Virginia.
Our condolences are extended to his family, friends and former teammates.
