Hello there, hope you all had a good weekend. There was hockey, so that was cool. We lost a hockey player, so that wasn't cool. Whatever. They're both in the past. GIFs are all that matter today.
Last Thursday's matchup wrapped up the Octofinals for the top half of the bracket, with #Soar Eagles taking down Murphy To Bordner in what might have been a bit of an upset.
Let's take a look at our fifth Octofinal matchup.
Tyler Murphy's clinching run over USC is going to be a tough out in this tournament. It absolutely torched its first round opponent, Daz Swats Ref, by an incredible 94-6 margin.
Tyler Murphy's blowout in round one was impressive, but not nearly as impressive as how close Gaudreau's win was over the crying Terrier fan. The original vote was a 50-50 deadlock, and the one-hour runoff was a 50-50 deadlock, so we had to go to a celebrity guest referee. Luke Russert '08 cast the deciding vote, giving Gaudreau the win by a combined score of 114-113 (2OT).
Here is your updated bracket:
As always, you have 24 hours to vote.
