2014 Projections: Seward strikes me as more of a safety than a traditional cornerback, and unfortunately there isn't any open room right now on the two deep between the starters Dominique Williams and Sean Sylvia and the backups Matt Milano and Justin Simmons. However, of course that is where the depth kind of ends. Seward is one of the guys that got a late rush of interest from high level teams, so the talent is certainly there, and the kid has the frame to be an effective safety immediately, but like all freshmen on the team the biggest question will be how long it will take him to pick up the defensive schemes.
How'd He Get Here: Cam Seward is a 3* Athlete that chose Boston College over claimed offers from California, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Mississippi State, N.C State, UCF, and West Virginia. His primary recruiter was Al Washington.

Uniform History: The #47 historically hasn't been a number that has been used all that often in Boston College history. The first player to wear it was George Kerr a right guard from Brockton, in 1938. Some of the more memorable players to wear it include Brad Newman who had a solid career from 2007-2010. Roderick Rollins a cornerback wore it as well, and finally Spencer Rositano wore it before injures finished his career last year with the Eagles.
