BCI Week In Review: August 17-22, 2014

Recapping the week that was.

Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Friday, friends. It's the last non-game week of the summer, which is fantastic. But even with it being an "off" week, there was still plenty to talk about, including football's final scrimmage and Sonny Milano's departure from BC. Here's a look back at some of the top content of the week:

BC Bookstore Catalog Review - Brian Favat

Brian took a look at some of the offerings in the bookstore catalog, which you probably all received in the mail this week. Under Armour love abounds (jk).

Boston College Hockey: Optimism About The Offense

Yeah, this is my post. Hooray for self-promotion! But the best part about this post was the engagement in the comments. Lots of good puck talk about the upcoming season. Worth checking out.

Only two FanPosts this week! Step up yo' game, folks.

BC To Struggle Big Time This Year - BobW33

Well, that's optimistic.

There doesn't appear to be much interest in the scrimmages on this site, but that's all we really have to go by to predict how they may do this year. I see major problems. Nine turnovers in the second scrimmage, that's unheard of.

BC Ticket Promotion - HoyaEagle

Hoya checks in to chat about BC's new ticket referral program.

But the BC "referral offer" above is an example of a promotion that is doomed to fail.

Our FanPost-ers were not feeling the optimism train this week. Haha

As Lance Armstrong says to Vince Vaughn in the classic movie ‘Dodgeball’,

“Good luck, and I’m sure you won’t regret this decision for the rest of your life.”

People were feeling a little salty in the aftermath.

On BC's offense struggling during the second scrimmage:

until Ryan Day throws away his playbook and replaces it with plays sent to him via email and twitter by random message board posters our Offense will be hopeless. hopeless.

"Addazio wants to control details coming out, so..."

Well, from what I heard, CENSORED looked REDACTED and most of the DELETED showed signs of REMOVED.

Other than that, all looked EXPLETIVE DELETED!
